The Deschutes River is a gem among northwest rivers. Flowing 252 miles from the high cascades in central Oregon, the Deschutes is the largest spring fed river in the western United States. Trout fishing best dates are May-October and prime dates for Steelhead are September, October and November. With the full beauty of the canyon and surrounding wildlife it's easy to understand why this river has been declared a National Scenic Waterway. This world class fishery is only available to guides with exclusive BLM permits.

Trout Fishing

Deschutes River host hard fighting wild rainbow trout. These fish are a special strain called the "Redband" trout. Beautiful coloration and difficult to land these feisty trout are a prized catch. Deschutes River primary hatches are caddis, stonefly, mayflies and midges. The stonefly or salmon fly hatch in the spring is world famous producing smashing surface takes on dry flies up to 3" long! Caddis and mayfly action can be excellent as well. Join us on an unforgettable adventure in the Deschutes River canyon for trout. Ask us about trout and steelhead combo trips.

Steelhead Fishing

Join us for an unforgettable Steelhead adventure on the Deschutes River. This fishery is one of the best in the world for catching steelhead on the swung fly. Steelhead, both wild and hatchery, range in size from 4 to 20 pounds and average around 6 to 8 pounds. These fish are wild and crazy fighters and move aggressively to the fly. Join us fishing a floating line and swing your fly across the surface; see what the addiction is all about. This is one of the best fisheries to catch a steelhead on the swung fly.
